Beautiful area and campground. It's been a long time since we have camped there, it was back in our tent camping days, we are due another trip at some point. When we get out that ways we camp further up the Youghiogheny, at Ohiopyle State Park, another favorite place.
If you get a chance visit Cranesville Swamp. It is very close by and very unique.
Next weekend (Fathers Day) we will be headed out that way but, will be staying at Rocky Gap, just east of Cumberland, one of our favorite campgrounds. We go there several times a year. Nice size lake for our sea kayaks.

Tarnishied, I would direct you to the Maryland DNR website for more info, but I tried and apparently there is something going on with the site as Google throws up a Malware warning. Perhaps check it later on today or tomorrow.

I grew up around there. Beautiful campground. They only have 3 rv sites though. If you can get in its definitely worth it

Frank, BTW if you get this while you are there, if you would, please reconnoiter the sites and let me know which one my 27' would fit on the best. Maybe MoparJohn might have some input too. It's been years since we have been out there, so long that last time we were still tent camping!
