I love seeing an Airstream hauling down the road, coming or going, it doesn't matter. I guess because we see so few of them it does make the sighting even that much more exciting, and then the anticipation of seeing another one. I even get excited seeing one in the driveway or yard of a house and often they are not even being used, just sitting and waiting and waiting and waiting to go do what they do best.

Anyway, it is fun to watch for our fellow Airstreamers, and even more fun to know they are probably looking at us with similar thoughts - holy cow, another one actually being used.

Can you imagine what it would be like if all 20,000 plus members of this Forum made a commitment to get out and camp on the same weekend, any where they wish, at least once a year. So every one of us, or the vast majority who have functioning and tow-able trailers would do our best to tow our trailer somewhere on Airstream weekend. We would certainly make a statement all over NA that there really are a lot of Airstreams out there. So whether it's individually with your family or yourself, or with some others, you go find that campsite and give the world some visibility into how many of us have this illness. And then post pictures on the Forum of your weekend and share it with the rest of us in the weeks following. What a lot of fun. Any time we meet people at gas stations, in the campgrounds, etc. we tell them it's Use your Airstream Weekend all over NA or Globally, or what ever. Just a thought.

Thank you for the awesome travel diary and pictures. I love seeing others adventures, especially when I'm just here waiting to go on mine.

That flood looked a bit scary!

How old is Mac? He (?) is sooo cute! Our BC hates the truck.. big bummer... I think he was sent into the dash as a puppy (with the breeder).

Great pics!! Keem em' comming. What a beautiful area. I've never been to Kentucky and have only driven through Miss. at night. This is definitely a trip to put on my (short) list. Good luck and have fun!

Mac will be 2 this coming February. We got him 3 days after our Great Dane, Apollo, passed. He is a ball of energy but very perceptive of commands. He hated riding for the first few months, I think due to the doors slamming and an initial round with motion sickness. Once he discovered that the truck is a path to fun places he loves it.

The flood, well the truck was still hooked up and I was trying to imagine how much damage would be caused by pulling out with the stabilizers down if the water kept rising. It blew our chances for seeing the rest of the park that evening.
