When we were in Halifax, NS this past fall. We found this office. If you have relatives that immigrated through Canada, and are interested in finding a little history about their journey, this is a great place.
My grandmother and her sister had immigrated from Scotland through Canada and eventually ended up in the US.
It was pretty cool to get copies of the original forms that my aunt and grandma had submitted. They also were able to provide a picture of the ship that they came over on, and which port they came into.
I'm sure this office isn't the only one in Canada that can do this. We just happened to be in Halifax and had fun finding out some of our history.
