Gulf Shores, Jellyfish, & Good Times..

Did a week at Alabama's Gulf State Park (Gulf Shores) and once again, our Silver Safari brought us to some priceless moments and cherished memories..

...that incredible MOMENT when you see the waves and feel the gulf wind blowing and you're ALMOST THERE!

...that late afternoon "awning mellowness" moment when you're beat from the heat and chillin' with the hounds...everybody at the campgrounds is family-cool so you can leave all your rafts and bikes and junk laying around overnight..

...even WITH a few jellyfish, just sunning on the beach and making sand castles is not a bad way to pass a summer afternoon..

our ole Gulf Shores site has taken quite a pounding from hurricanes recently and the lack of trees is dismaying (and the beachfront hi-rises get very little love from our gang..) but bike riding couldn't be better..

whether your tastes run to Julie Andrews singing it in the Sound Of Music or Coltrane bop-riffing early '60's abstract, these are DEFINITLEY a few of MY "Favorite Things"...they're both just downright gorgeous to me...

- since this is a PICTURE thread (that I posted kinda late at night) I thought I'd kick it back out there for you guys in deference to the "you can never see too many trailers" philosophy prevalent here... even beat up old trailers...

Great job - gives a different prospective on life in the slower lane. Keep up the good work.

Looks fantastic, thanks for posting the pics!

When I did my recovery last week to pick up my trailer in Mobile, I stared longingly at the signs for Gulf Shores as I cruised past on I10 going 70. I had to get back home in a hurry and didn't have time to linger, but I've already promised my wife that as soon as we get a chance, we'll take the trailer back to the Alabama/Florida gulf coast. Those are the most beautiful beaches in the USA.

Great family weekend pictures. Makes me want to pack up and head to Gulf Shores.

Jedi and Airstreams, I always thought there was a connection, but now I've seen it!......is that how LSU gets it's powers?
