"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all of the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."

I don't know you or Jake, but my tears are with you. They are such loyal companions. May the sweet memories of him bring you some measure of comfort.

So sorry for your loss. We've been there twice and the hurt never completely leaves. The memories and the sheer bliss on Jake's face says loads as to his happiness with you. He was very blessed !

Sympathy

Recently said goodbye to our big red dog, Chester. He was a perfect travel and camping companion, too. Lucky for us, he "trained" 2 little brothers, so a part of him remains with us still. Hope you can honor your boy by adopting another furry friend one day.

The passing of a great dog leaves a hole in your heart that never quite heals. You were fortunate that Jake chose to be your friend as he was to have had you be his. Well done, Jake.

Sorry to hear the sad news John. I remember when we communicated while you were on your Eastern trip it sounded like Jake was having a blast. Its good to know that he became a "Traveler" in his later life. I'm sure he will keep an eye on you from above as you move forward.

Cheers
Doug

Our Condolences

We are truly sorry for your loss. We've been there and know firsthand the pain you are experiencing. As difficult as times like these are, the joy of having such wonderful companions always seems to exceeds the pain of their loss. Jake will always be with you in spirit, find comfort in that . . .

You couldn't have said it better Bob. So sorry to here Jake passing SilverEagle6. Jake couldn't have had a better life, than the one you provided. The pictures you've shared, shows me that Jake was a very happy dog. SteveSueMac avatar shows the love that dogs can give. That picture was the first time they met at the shelter...amazing. When the time is right, find yourself another pet to share life with. Some people say that we rescued this animal, but in reality it's the other way around. I don't like to call ourselves ''dog owners,'' but instead guardians... we all know they own us. paiceman that would be heaven.

John and Jeanne - know that we (and our furbabies) are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Know that wherever you go, Jake will be right beside you in spirit, but that he will be waiting for you on the other side.
Our deepest sympathy
