Golden Gate bridge toll

I traveled over the GG bridge with my featherlite car trailer and was surprised (to say the least) that the toll had been raise significantly!
The toll is only in the southbound direction but you might want to avoid it and take Hwy 580. Im sure many of you are used to higher tolls but this is new for us.

This state is BROKE. If 'they' can't raise taxes 'they' will get their pound of flesh another way. Those of us who know how to avoid the bridge tolls will be fine. But those that are new will be and tell all what a crazy state Ca. is. Duh.

My city tax (El Cerrito) was 10.25%, it is now 9.25%. However that larger amount was in effect long enough for me to get a big hit on my 2011 Tundra purchase, the car dealer and I both almost fainted. (Me b/c of the large amount, and him b/c it was enough to make me reconsider the purchase )

Every time I go across the Dumbarton bridge from Palo Alto to Fremont, it's $4 for our tow vehicle alone, or $20 when pulling the trailer. Go figure.

Hi, we have crossed that bridge while towing our trailer a few times, but I don't remember what they charged us. But this is just pennies compared to how much they wanted to put our 44' on an Alaskan Ferry. [about $3,000.00]

don't come east. the tolls are higher than that here. a lot of tolls have almost doubled in the past few years. now how much is is going to cost to rebuild the overloaded non-toll roads? i guess it is a penalty for reducing fuel consumption.

I figured its much more on the east coast. Toll roads are common to you guys.

Ddrucker, I wasnt aware that the Dumbarton was charging that much either.. wow.
Seems like it happened overnight.
