Silver Streak Clipper
Saw this on the side of the road on our way to Priest Lake. It's in between Priest River and Albenai Falls. Serial # 2058.
Painted silver,completely gutted except the shag carpet, and in sad shape.

Older Argosy pix
We found this Argosy apparently being used as a seasonal in a campground in the Thousand Island New York area. Still looks like its in great shape.

Taken the back roads home today saw a glimpse of silver and had to make the u-turn. There use to be a really run down house in front of this which was leveled and this was in the woods behind it. The skin was near perfect!A few No Trespassing signs posted but they looked pretty old so........ tip toeing I went..
Had to run home to grab the camera ..... Here you go

Looks like a 59 or 60.
Man o Man I could use the windows out of that. If you find out anymore about it us know.
I can see if I can get my Brother-in-law in New London to go after it.

Two of the smaller windows were broken...right one on the curbside and I believe the middle on on the street.
This is really nice...would hate to see it end up in some junk yard. I'll keep my eyes open for life over there and get info if I can toaster.

Hello-Without the serial number looks like a 1958 Overlander. They started putting tandem axels by special order towards the end of the model year. Looks just like the one Rich L and I are trying to get in VT. Keep me informed, it is an awsome trailer! Are you folks going to Scusset this weekend?Rick

That serial number puts it in the middle of the range for a 1961 Ohio built 28' Ambassador model Airstream. Are you sure the "L" is really an "L" and not an "I"? Typically the "I" means the trailer has the "International" option package.
"I" = International option package
"28" = 28 feet in length
"1" = last number in year (i.e., "1961")
"307" = the 307th one off the assembly line

Sold!
We just purchased this trailer. The interior needs work but I love the floorplan: - front gaucho
- streetside dinette
- large kitchen
- double bunk beds
- bathtub
Thanks for the lead!

I've driven by this one quite a few times on my way to/from Spokane, but never seemed to have my camera. It's been there less than a year, but it appears the tags expired in July of 1988!
Appears to be the victim of a tree or other large, heavy item making contact with the roof. I had initially thought it might be a restoration project for someone, but after gettting up close and personal, I'd say its ready for the organ donor program

Beautiful 20' Argosy MoHo on Craig's list
There's a fully restored 20' Argosy on Craig's List that looks very nice.

Wow! Not a bad price in the condition it seems to be in. I can't look anymore for awhile...we need to finish restoring what we have!
On the other hand, if it was in my neighborhood, I might of had to stroll over to take a look at it....
Thank goodness hubby doesn't read the forum much or I would be in big trouble for saying that!

Probably a good thing its on the east coast or I would have to take a closer look too. The price looks to be right even if it does have water stains on the skins.
