State CGs will be booked up a year in advance but there are a few 1-2 day sites available for walk-ups. We have stayed in some RV parks for a day or two when we had to leave a state park for a while. Use Google maps and search on RV parks or campgrounds near Orlando.

Joy RV Park in Cocoa Beach. Nice location for visiting Cape Kennedy. Orlando would be a drive, but doable.

There is very little on the east side of Orlando until you get to the beach area. Things may be easing up in late February. Jetty Park in Cocoa Beach is close to the cape and right on the route the cruise ships take out to sea. Get a trial version of RV Trip Wizard to show campgrounds and if you like it, subscribe.

My wife and I really like state parks, and Florida has some really nice ones. Fort Clinch and Anastasia State Park are both near St. Augustine, and are great. As Rich mentioned earlier, they stay booked up, especially weekends, but to me it's worth checking from time to time for any cancellations.
BTW- my wife and I camped at 2 state parks in La. on a recent camping trip to Texas (Fontainbleau and Fairview Riverside)- Beautiful parks with awesome staffs. We plan on making La. a destination real soon.

We stayed at North Beach Camping Resort last year. It is just north of St. Augustine. The beach is across the road from the campground. It's a nice campground overall but a bit pricey in winter, of course.

There is a shuttle bus provided into St. Augustine should you wish not to drive.

Start calling and booking now. My wife is a travel nurse and we got an assignment in Orlando for 13 weeks. Had to split our stay between two different RV parks because February was mostly booked as is March.
Prior to accepting this assignment I ended up calling most of the RV parks closer to the coast. No one could accommodate for 13 weeks and Minimal could accommodate at all.

You just may not have your first choice of parks to stay at so start booking. Best of luck
