FL to DC- need camp recommendations?

My wife and I are planning to head out this week on an east coast venture of about 10 to 14 days! We need some suggestions on camping spots and things to do and see along the way. We don't really know the road north of GA and are open to anything! We are very much outdoor types and like hiking and cycling as well as some historic POI's. Some destinations may include: St. Augustine, Savannah, Charleston, Williamsburg and ultimately ending in the D.C. area. Please help us plan our trip!! BTW, we will likely take our dogs w/ us so this may be a factor on destinations. Thanks in advance!

Forgot to mention, we have a generator and can boondock if the spot is worth it.

If your heading to St Augustine try to get into Anastasia State Park (via Reserve America.com), park is on the ocean, sites are not, beach is great, sites are big, campground is one of the best in FL. Pleanty of places to visit. When heading north if you need a fast pull-through overnight spot try RVacation Campsite in Selma, NC. We hit it every year on our trip south and on return. Place is close to Exit 98 on I95, is clean and reasonable. Don't miss Williamsburg if you like historic sites. Spent 5 days there last Sept and found something to see every day. Don't know about camping there, as we stayed in a hotel. Have a great trip.
