First post - first flat

Coming back from Freeport from a long Labor Day weekend. Pulled in to the gas station to fuel up for the trip home. We were immediately stopped by someone to say that our tire busted or our trailer was leaking. Sure enough - there was something in our tire and air was rushing out.

Off to Discount Tire today. I asked them to save whatever that is so I can see it. The first picture is of the object in the tire, the second is the object.

I didn't even know this was possible...

Yikes. Cost you a tire but could have been worse — imagine that being slung through your wheel well...

Oh yeah, that’ll plug easy peasy.

Not!

Ok buy a lottery ticket you dodged a nasty one.

Consider researching the various brands and styles of trailer tire TPMS systems.

Nope doesn’t prevent the foreign object from getting cozy with you tire just lets you know. Hey Capt we got a problem here. Cause you didn’t have a clue until someone pointed it out while stopped. No warning while driving.

Lucky day.

Gary
