Fantastic Fan Cover "Ultra Breeze" - Questions

I am 'inheriting' a small dog in November so am thinking of having two "Ultra Breeze" fantastic fan covers installed. I have a 25' FBT with two fantastic fans, front and back. I have questions before proceeding:

1) Do I need to worry about these covers casting shade on my two factory installed solar panels? If yes, should I install just ONE fan cover on the fan on back of trailer (solar panels are on front)?
2) Some reviews indicated the Ultra Breeze covers cracked/disintegrated within a year. Those of you with the Ultra Breeze model, how have they held up?
3) They're offered in white, black and smoke. I am thinking of going with white because it will 'blend' in better with white roof. What do you think?
4) Some reviews indicated the fantastic fans will still shut down, even with the covers installed, if humidity levels get high enough. Those of you with the Ultra Breeze model, has this been a problem for you?
5) The Ultra Breeze model looks taller than all the other models. How do they look up there on top of the Airstream? Ridiculous? Any issues to think about with extra height?
6) Does the Ultra Breeze model require additional holes be drilled in top of Airstream to install it?
Any other advice appreciated. Many thanks.

I have the covers in smoke on both my fans. No problem with solar shading. No need to drill extra holes. They have lasted well, I had a problem with one and dometic replaced it no questions asked.
They look great on the roof and allow you to operate the fans while raining.

I didn’t realize Dometic makes fantastic fans and the ultra breeze covers. Thanks!

Ultrabreeze Fan covers

1. Put the covers on both fans. The amount of sunlight the cover may shade your solar panel is insignificant.

2. Our covers were 2 years old on our recently sold 23D and still looked like new.

3.We like the white ones.

4.The "Rain Sensor" is very sensitive to any moisture. We disconnected the rain sensor on our fans. Takes 15 minutes, is easy to do and you never have the fan close when you need it most. Easy Peasy.

5. We think the covers look fine. Some folks hate the look. The functionality far exceeds any concern with the appearance.

6.No additional holes required. Takes about 15 minutes each to install. Make sure you get the optional "Bug Screen" (about $12.00 each)

We replaced our 2017 23D with a 2019 FC25 RBT. The first upgrade we did were 2 Ultrabreeze covers with bug screens and disconnected the rain sensors. As far as rain coming in it has to be raining really hard and the wind blowing just right to have any droplets come inside. We do not worry about leaving the fan lids open when we leave for the day. Happy travels!
