Eastern Vancouver Island

Planning a 10 day visit in September to eastern Vancouver Island. Will watch the whales and bears in Telegraph Cove and work our way south to
Campbell River-Comox-from there don't know. Any suggestions on campgrounds or attractions (interested in wildlife photography) along this route would be appreciated.

Go to Duncan to see the totems. Also Chemainus to see the murals. Both are worth the stop. The BC Forest Discovery Centre is an in depth look at the logging industry over the years. Train rides etc.

Cross over to the West side to visit some fantastic trails and beaches between Tofino and Ucluelet. You can make it a day trip if you stay in Parksville or Qualicum Beach. It's an easy drive across on Highway 4. If you want to take the trailer, there is a Provincial campsite as well as private sites in Tofino and Ucluelet.
