We are on the last day of our first round trip cross country. Started June 8 from Fenwick Island Delaware. Route was NJ-PA-OH-IN-IL-IA-SD-WY-UT-NV-CA-OR-WA-ID-MT-ND-MN-WI-MI-IN-OH-WV-PA-DE. Absolutely no problems at all.
You will find that all visitor centers in the National Parks are closed, and that was a bummer. That said, we had a FANTASTIC time.
Just wear your mask when in stores, shopping, etc. Trip of a lifetime (until we go to Alaska next summer!)
As far as places to stay, we used Cabelas, Walmart, made extensive use of Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome. Those memberships are so great. The rest were private campgrounds and KOA’S.
So here we sit in Bedford PA on our last overnight, heading back to Delaware today. What a trip.
While we were out in CA, we put the rig into Vinnie’s Northbay for some upgrades and maintenance. SO happy with the work he did. I made those arrangements last year way before corona virus. So we planned a cross country trip around it. So glad we did.
So get out there and enjoy and don’t worry! If things should get bad come on home. Good luck!

We just got back from 2 weeks in Idaho. The first week was fine but we started to notice local Idahoans were a little weird. Two different groups were pushy about getting our first come first serve site, bordering on harassment. We kept getting asked how we knew about wherever we were at. Then we were told about how the first two digits in Idaho license plates denote what county they are from. Everyone is looking at license plates and profiling.

Had a lot of fun though. Just the weird people are weirder in a covid way.

Not to mention the provincials in Montana. Strange sort there as well.
Junkyard. Do you know of a decent RV in San Diego. Nearish to the beach?

Like one for sale? Or a place to stay?

Mostly we tear up the old abandoned ones with a backhoe.

I don’t really know about beach camping or even resorts. People talk about silver strand, Carlsbad state beach, and the dreaded camp land by the bay.
