Colorado Springs storage needed for 11 days

All,
My husband and I are visiting our daughter in Colorado Springs for 11 nights from August 8-19 over near Security Widefield. We need a place to store our 20 foot airstream without having to cough up 30 plus dollars a night in camping fees as we won’t be using it. Apparently parking on residential streets is banned. If any of you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it! Thanks

I grew up in Security/Widefield (but that was 30 years ago). They didn't even know how to spell HOA there, so I question who it is that is banning parking a trailer on the street. I would start by verifying that information.

There used to be some storage lots on the south end of Powers blvd, which might keep you fairly close to your daughter, but that area has developed a lot over the years, so those may have become strip malls by now. If you (or your daughter's family) are military, you may have some luck storing it on Ft. Carson, which is also on that side of town. I recall there being RV storage facilities on the post.

good luck!

...and don't drink the tap water...not kidding either--relatively recent discovery that ground water has been contaminated for the last several decades due to a chemical fire fighting foam used at Peterson Field--it's probably too late for me...don't be a another victim!
