Chicago>Nashville>Land Between the Lakes
Hi Everyone,
It's been a while but I have been lurking and glad that spring has arrived in time for spring vacation. And the Air Forums is doing great!
We will be heading toward Nashville from Chicago, and looking for advice. It looks like we'll do this in a day or two, stop at Clark St. Forest overnight (lock doors, last time a little creepy. I think someone was bbq'ing meth near us.) We plan on staying at Seven Points Army Corp Campground outside of Nashville. Anyone been there?
I will be visiting Gruhn Guitars, 1st on the bucket list. All else is up in the air. The Johnny Cash museum sounds pretty cool. Looking for good BBQ, food, not so much REAL touristy stuff if that's possible.
We plan on staying in Nashville for a few days and then move on toward the Land Between the Lakes area. So does anyone have any recommendations for secluded campgrounds? We will have generator so don't need electric, but a dump would be nice as well as water.
I know we go by Clarksville, but it appears that there are very few camping areas which surprised us.
So any thing you can think of for good camping, must stop-at food, attractions.
Let me know.
Thanks so much.
JL
