Extending the hitch further back of the truck is not a great idea. That extension acts as a lever and puts more force on the receiver on the truck. It also moves the pivot point further away from the rear axle. This makes sway worse. If you look at what some of the pro's do on their setups, they actually trim the length of the shank to get the ball as close to the bumper as possible.
By the time you have cart and the means to get it into the bed, you have a *lot* of weight if the "typical" stuff is involved. Does that plus the trailer plus whatever add up to over 2,000 pounds? I'd bet it does. Is it over 3,000? It might be / could be. I doubt it's over 4,000. You then get into the rear axle numbers and find that you don't get the full "payload capacity" of the truck in a case like this.
Don't guess, get the weights and work from the numbers ....

Long beds make all of the difference in the world when pulling TT along with the loaded bed. Keep in mind you do need to put rear golf cart wheels on blocks as to lift the rear and above the tail gate height. Also, latch golf cart at wheels and not above springs lest it moves going down the road and is a heck of a time to getting off loaded. Also keep in mind golf carts add 900-1,100 pounds of payload. My picture is a 1 ton and it handles the load fine.

I have a diamondback cover which is specifically made for this. Leaving your tailgate down while towing a trailer is a definite no-no. I found that out through personal experience. Tail gates are REALLY expensive to replace these days........

Golf cart and truck
Order a longer truck and add airbags at the rear.
Or, order a truck body without the standard bed and add a flatbed like what is used in farming. Then airbags for rear.
I use a rack made in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. Made by ToyUp Industries.
I put a Polaris Rzr on it that weighs 1,700# plus 200# for the rack.
Then I add 40# to the airbags. Works great!

I seen this on long bed DRW or one that looks a lot like it when was in Tucson last winter and he was towing a SOB probably 36 foot long. he removed the top of the Golf Cart so it won't catch the wind.

Another options is you down size the golf cart and carry in bed of truck without problems. We carried in the back of Jeep Wrangler 4 door and 2017 CRV.

As noted by JMynes, any turn will crunch the propane cover or worse.
Want an experiment? Drive with the tailgate down and see how far out of shape you can get before something gets crunched.
I can't believe anyone has ventured out of the storage lot before damage occurred.

Straight up, that F150 is way over stressed even w 7700 tow pkg. Now you have serious safety (and liability issues).
(The right tool for the right job I always say)
F250 long bed at a minimum.

We have a golf cart at our home in Sun City Georgetown TX to get around and we love it; we have golf cart at our summer place at Star Valley Ranch RV resort in WY and love it. They are quite heavy with the batteries and bulky for sure to try and carry in your rear bed. I have seen guys reinforce their suspension and put 2 sidexside ATV's in and also on top of their pick up beds, so I know thats a possibility also with the right mount, but as mentioned..."payload". I suggest looking at Ebikes..if you insist on picking up folks, get one with an extra seat. We have the RAD Expand6 folding models. I put one on the Fiamma bike rack and keep one inside when traveling. Not an issue and quite handy to do the things you mentioned you use a golf cart for, except picking up folks...but, you can always add an extra seat if your goal is "picking up" folks! They go 35-40+ miles on a charge, and surely are easier to load/carry than a golf cart also!
Word of caution with using your truck bed...you do not want to drive with your tailgate down, with the Blue Ox...my automatic tailgate opened without knowing it, and when turning, it colided with the bottles; result was badly damaged tail gate, very badly dented propane tank cover, and propane tank handles bent by the metal securing bar; had to be hammered out to use again. Not a recommended experiment. The tailgate from Ford on our F250 King Ranch, cost several thousand $$ to repair...fortunately, Ford finally picked the cost of it up since it was their wiring harness that caused the issue...
