Canyonlands Road Closure

My wife and I have a trip planned to the Needles area of Canyonlands National Park in a week. I just checked the website and discovered that highway 211, the primary road into the Needles area, is closed from flood damage. They are routing people in over Harts Draw Road out of Monticello, but indicate that it is not recommended for trailers. I have an F250 and a FC 25 FBT. Anyone out there with any relevant experience and recommendations regarding Harts Draw Road?

Thanks for the reply. It looks like Harts Draw Road is paved the entire way, and we are certainly used mountain roads. However, the warning against trailers on the Canyonlands website was a little concerning. It helps to hear from someone with experience on the road!

You’ll be fine! We were there coming out of the park when the road washed away in front of us in a flash flood on August 14. They ended up taking us out via Harts Draw Road. No issue for your TV and rig
