That was taken at a commercial campground, Four Season just outside Salida. It was a last minute choice and it was the best thing we could have done. Very quiet, you can ride your Mountain Bike directly from the campground to the amazing trail system and it was very close to town. We plan to return for sure. Salida is a bunch of fun.
Thanks!

Try to make it to Elevation Beer Company. Great beer! Expensive but really worth the money.

Hecla Junction
Camped at Hecla Junction on the Arkansas River the past four days. It is our favorite campsite in the mid-Colorado Rockies. Had warm days and cool nights. The river is still pretty high/fast, but we still caught some Rainbows. First night we camped next to a 1972 International that was a frame off rebuild and is beautiful inside (see picture in the Airstream Sightings thread). Turns out the couple lives about 20 miles from our home. New friends??
The pictures include the trailer in site 1107, my DW in her waders ready to go fishing and me out in the river. Love this place!!

Campsite pics
Driveway camping at our daughters house in Chesapeake, Va. Fingers crossed as this is the first time we have ventured out since the pandemic. The campground camping that will follow should be much safer.

Camped at Bannack, MT goldrush ghost town along grasshopper creek two days, then left to boondock at BLM lake just west the next day and found garnets alongside the water. Rib eye steaks and roasted ears of corn, cold beer for me and toasted marshmellows for my sweetheart wife. (Zoom in to see her sitting, enjoying the sunset.)

Dan,
If you're driving back to the 'Burg via 460, I would love to see your AS when you drive through Crewe.......even at a distance.

Rocky Mountain National Park - Moraine Park Campground
Enjoyed a week at RMNP over July 4th, in the Moraine Park Campground, overlooking the Moraine Valley and Long's Peak in the distance. We happened to be the 3rd Airstream in a row in Loop C; the first two were traveling together; it was a coincidence that we showed up to make it three in a row (we are the one on the far right). We were fortunate that our reservation was not cancelled; all reservations in Loops D, E, and half of loop A were cancelled due to COVID and lack of volunteer staffing that they normally depend on for campground operations. Trails and parking lots were still packed despite a timed entry system at the gates trying to limit and space out the normal number of visitors. We were able to avoid the worst of the crowds by being on the trail between 6:30 and 7 a.m. and resting/reading/relaxing in the afternoons.

We had that same site a few years ago! Loved it there, until giant monsoon rains came through. Downtown Estes Park was under water. The roads to Boulder and Ft Collins both got washed out. We had to leave by going over Trail Ridge Rd. (With our then 23FB)

We love all the sites overlooking the Moraine Valley. That must have been quite the trip towing over Trail Ridge Rd. I wouldn't want to do that.

Lakeview Campground
Spent four nights at Lakeview Campground, B loop, near Twin Lakes CO at 9500 feet this last weekend. We fly fished in Lake Creek which runs down from the Continental Divide along Highway 82. The creek is full of small Rainbow and Brown trout which fight like they are twice their size!
The pictures include Willard nestled into our campsite 300 feet above the lake, Willard with the solar Christmas lights my daughter bought for him, goats/rams on the road near the Continental Divide and my DW with a feisty little Rainbow.
