This isn't really a "great picture" by any standards. One has to look beyond the photo...it's the first day of summer...it's been raining, sleeting, snowing for most of the day. At the time the photo was made....it was raining. But, what you see are too "happy grandchildren" with their grandfather preparing "smore's"! Priceless!

You are about as far east as you can go. Nice pic. And I could think of a few other adjectives to describe a swim in 60 degree ocean water!

The awning is down at the dunes because it rained on and off all day, but the winds were tolerable.

Alafia River State Park - Lithia, FL Site #30. Beautiful park, but VERY HOT in June and July. Not a lot of shade.

This one was at Kennedy Meadows, Ca. Baker or Deadman campgrounds are right on the Stanislaus river and close to Kennedy Meadows resort, and trailhead to Emigrant Wilderness. Excellent base camp for treks into the wilderness area.
