Buffalo Bill SP Cody WY

Another great week in Wyoming. Fantastic site on the BB reservoir, Lakeview CG, and 15 minute drive to Cody and all its attractions. Nearby Chief Joseph Hwy and the Beartooth Hwy make great day trips.

Gros Ventre CG Grand Teton NP

We zoomed through Yellowstone to a favorite spot. The Tetons are never a disappointment and always something new to see.

Pinedale WY Yellowstone Trail RV Park

After soaking up the Tetons for most of a week, we headed south to Pinedale for a night. Don't miss Skyline Drive for beautiful views of the Wind River Range and Freemont Lake. Nice RV Park and should of spent more time in this great little town.

Into Utah

From Pinedale we followed the Green River into northern Utah passing through the Uinta Mountains and Wasatch NF. Beautiful high altitude lakes and campgrounds like Mirror Lake. Over Bald Mountain Pass and onto the Park City area and Jordanelle SP.

Jordanelle SP

Jordanelle SP is a very nice park popular with boaters on a beautiful reservoir with views of Park City ski runs. Much to see in the vicinity including Park City,
Heber City and the Mount Timpanogos area near Sundance with gorgeous aspen forests carpeted with lush ferns and mountain tops with mid-Sept early snow.

Colorado River KOA - Silt

From Utah traveled southeast to the Glenwood Springs vicinity for about a week
seeing old favorite haunts like Basalt, Carbondale, Redstone and Marble. Great SloGrovinBBQ, scenery and celebrated 45th anniversary.

You’ve hit about six years worth of trips for us all in one swing through the west. FYI, the big horns are always great. And Pinedale used to be one of our favorites. But New Fork Lake CG north of there has been pretty much abandoned by the USFS. It used to be fantastic. Last time we were there it was really rough.
Great pics, by the way.

Gettinway, we didn’t have time last fall to checkout New Fork CG but did in 2019 and the roads were really rough. Gorgeous area though!

Glenwood Springs to Salida

From Glenwood Springs vicinity we headed south to Salida on US24 and the fall colors were awesome around Red Cliff. We checked out the WWII history at Camp Hale that was interesting. Then past Mount Massive & Mount Elbert that I hiked in the 90s with some buddies and onto Leadville and the Collegiate Peaks beyond, finally arriving at Salida for our last destination before heading home. Beautiful ride!

Salida to Georgia

We enjoyed four nights at Salida RV Resort on the Arkansas River. This was a nice park with full amenities and also had Rows of Tiny Homes that were for sale or lease. First time for us in Salida and the town was pretty cool with lots of shops, galleries, restaurants and surrounding spectacular mountain scenery. Day trips to Monarch and Poncha Pass. Great late September weather! Left Colorado following the Arkansas River on Hwy 50 east on two lanes to Dodge City, Wichita, Joplin, Branson, then south through Ozarks to Russellville at I-40.
I-40 to Little Rock, Memphis and last travel night in Hurricane Mills, TN, before returning to our little Cloudland home on Lookout Mountain in Georgia. 46 days, 6,203 miles, 12.6 mpg, 492 gallons.
