A good friend of my son's bought an old farm in central Vermont in partnership with government programs with the intention of revitalizing it as a vegetable growing business. My son is there helping him out and working on his art. There is a lot to do. The property is amazing. I will let you all know if he decides to let campers come and stay there!

Looks like it would be a great Harvest Host opportunity.

Weve had our Globetrotter a bit over a month and have hit 3 of our favorite Florida haunts so far: Tomoka, Topsail and now Ft Wilderness. Gotta get Bryn Mawr and Anastasia in there now. Gamble Rogers, Blue Springs and Rainbow Springs are coming up

Yes everything is good. Of course I forgot to attach the pictures.
We're getting used to the "tight quarters" of a 25' AS vs our 40' MH. Learning less is more when packing stuff (not sure how we'd do this when we had 2 kids with bikes and things). Still wish I had a manual awning. The Zipdee Relax awning has hiccuped once or twice. I just don't understand why people want powered stuff like that. Getting used to the fridge. Seemed to work ok on this last trip. Now bringing a cooler filled with ice for sodas and water bottles to lessen popping the fridge open. Tankless water heater gets goofy on us once in a while. Still prefer a tank electric/propane. Absolutely glad we listened to everyone who advised us to go with a 2 AC unit. This tin can can struggle on a single AC in direct Florida sunlight. Need to add TPMS to the wheels, find a good mounting spot for the rear view monitor and need to read up on the ProPride hitch and make sure it's really set up properly for my trailer/truck combo. Considering this trailer was bought by the original owner in May in Oklahoma, went on a 3-week trip to Colorado , Moab and then back to Florida before we got it and now we've towed it over a 1000 miles it seems to be doing very well with few problems.

Glad you are enjoying it.
One thing to note on the awning:
When you flip the switch on - ALWAYS run a close cycle before you open. This may sound counterintuitive but it resets the motor. I've had no issues with mine since doing this. The dealer never told us this even though it is recommended by Zip Dee.

And, if you are on full hookups with sewer - don't turn the water off at the head when showering. The on demand heater has to detect a flow of water in order to fire

Thanks for the tips. These are all minor gripes and a lot of it is getting used to the trailer's idiosyncrasies. I think most Airstreamers are OCD to one extent or another and I try not to let things get to me. I've had a couple of slide out issues with other RVs and that's just something I don't want to deal with anymore. There are relatively few systems in this trailer that would ruin a trip if they broke. AC is probably at or near the top of the list since we do most of our camping in Florida. One of the things I really look forward to is late fall/winter/spring trips where it gets cool enough at night to not need AC but all of our other campers had such poor ventilation we ended up turning it on anyway. I have high hopes all the windows and the fantastic fan will lead to sleeping without the AC roaring all night.

Get window poppers. The will assist with opening the window. FYI they always stick.
Place your monitor in the center of the dash with the suction cup upside down. So the weight of it is carried by the dash.

With all the large windows and that they open completely Airstreams really do have better ventilation than just about any other RV. We never run our air conditioner unless it is really hot and sticky. We also use some personal 12v fans that are very quiet.

One more tip here and then I will refrain from further as not to hijack this campsite pic thread, but we have only one AC. I bought one of those circulating cooling tower fans from Amazon for $80. Best money I've spent yet.
Yes in 90 degree heat and humidity it does take longer to cool down initially but after that we had no issues , even on the beach in Fla in late June. The cooling tower is the trick. The one AC really has enough cooling power, Air Circulation within the trailer is the key and the tower does that.

We were fortunate enough to snag this FCFS campsite on Lake Superior in Bay View NFS CG just west of Sault St. Marie. It is the best campsite we have ever had.
