[QUOTE=KSA63;2175622]Algonquin Park, Mew Lake Campground. One of only 4 Ontario Provicial Park campgrounds open 24/7 365. This is our last trip of the season and a nice quiet getaway as we were one of only 22 occupied sites when we arrived here on Thursday. It has been snowing off and on with fairly constant snow last night and today.
What a great way to end the season.

Algonquin is a very nice park with a very nice staff. Nice to know it's open all year. Thanks

Camping at the track, Laguna Seca. Was there for two weekends of vintage racing, with Monterey car week events happening all week between. Yowza!

Alin, thanks for the awesome pics.

AVI Casino resort (KOA) Laughlin, NV (west side of river) $ around $32. Space 721 at the 17th green/18th tee. We drew the same space last year.

Emerald Beach RV Park, Navarre, FL Space # 69. Backed up to the beach and the then 35 knot winds (steady not gusts). We were in the middle of about 8-10 back in sites that had decks at the edge of the beach wall.

People talk about Florida being crowded and reservations being needed in the winter. This is Delaney East FS campground not to far from Palatka, Florida. Only 3 of 29 campsites were occupied and the cost was $5/day. No hookups. Site 26 would accommodate our Airstream nicely. There were some nice sandhill cranes that woke me up in the morning.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. Live in North Florida, almost Georgia, so I'm looking for good places down south in the winter.

Wherestream

I found this place using the Allstays app at 10:30 at night when the music festival grounds were just too wet.
Lots of great sites in the Ocala NF especially if you donít need hookups.

My favorite though is Lone Pine Key, close to Homestead, in the Everglades. It is my go to place when north Florida is too cold. It is close to the Royal Palm Visitor Center, highly recommended.

Cedar Key, FL is a really great place to go. It is similar to Key West, but closer, smaller, not as crowded and cheaper. There is a fishing pier at one end of the main drag and a park at the other end. Google it. Here are some photos.Click image for larger version

There are a couple of private campgrounds on Cedar Key but my camping style is the Shell Mound county campground just a short drive away.
There are 29 sites but only 5 or 6 were occupied. The best site, #1, was vacant. The other site in the photo is #9, a tent only site. I didnít camp here this trip, just passing through, but I will return.Click image for larger version

I'm in. Looked at retirement cities out of Ocala. This would be in our our backyard!

How did Cedar Key fare in the recent hurricanes?
I went there years ago, loved it, bought oysters from the boat where they fill your 48 qt. cooler (about 20 dozen) and although you have to wash and shuck them the $8 price tag spoiled me.

Was the 16 sport hard to pull in the GA/NC Mountains? MY TV is a BMW X3 and is does fine so far, but haven't gone to the mountains yet.

I donít believe Cedar Key was affected by the recent hurricanes. The photos in post #609 were taken last week.
