Camping in Tennessee TERRIFIC!

We just returned from camping at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee ! It was terrific! It is super well maintained, clean, and beautiful! There are three different locations with waterfalls, beautiful flowing creeks, wildlife everywhere, friendly people, and even has a giant pool ! There are tons of new facilities and more being built...two suspension bridges, tons of hiking, rock climbing. etc.
The campsites are nestled back in the woods, and in our case, we could see nothing but forest ! We even had deer come up to the trailer...
Out campsite was $37 per night. Totally worth it !

We are currently camping in Old Stone Fort State Park in Manchester, TN. Got 25% off for being seniors. $20.58 for the night. Great site, about 75' long and narrow paved spot. Only oddity is that the 30 amp power pole and concrete picnic table are on the wrong sides of the trailer. The water spigot is on the right side and close enough that a 10' hose would work, but we had to run the power cord under the trailer. Other than that idiosyncrasy shared by the other sites I could see around us it's great. Very nice people, a museum to tour, and because of all the trees temps quite a bit cooler than outside the park.

We enjoyed our one night there, despite the unique setup of the hookups.

But electricity and picnic table were on the wrong side.

We made it all work though.

AllStays Camp & RV App needs the TOWN in order to locate a campground.

OP did not mention that the park is near SPENSER, TN.

Both those state parks are great. They can get a little wild on the weekend like most state parks.

Mkcurtiss which campsite were you staying. Seemed to me a lot were on top of each other with little privacy. It is a beautiful park with lots to do.

Thanks for the report and pix.

Was in Tennessee camping last spring and almost went to this park ... now I wish I had.

Adding it to the list.

Come over to Wilderness Campground of the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park. Sits in the intersection of Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee. $10 a night with senior NP pass.

Campground near Mammoth Cave?

Is there a campground near Mammoth Cave that you recommend for a one night stay? Full hookups would be nice.

Tn

TN has some really nice State Parks,

Some have outstanding dinning facilities. There is a park near Crossville TN that has RV sites and the meals are great!

When we were at your park the Falls were dry. Thanks for the pictures

Fall Creek Falls is our favorite local campground. Beautiful, and lots of things to do. It’s very popular and hard to get a site unless you book way in advance, or wait until the day before and check cancellations.
