Hello Tim; Try Carowinds RV Park. It on the edge of Charlotte. It is next to a amusement park. This is aways from Belmont though. Our daughter lives in Charlotte and we scoped it out when there. Similar arrangement as Moraineview

I do remember you and you lovely wife. I wish I could make Moraineview but the wedding in NC had changed our annual family camping trip to the same weekend.

Hi,
We stay at Fieldridge Acres every time we visit my family that lives near Gastonia. It is extremely convenient to Belmont as you know, much more so than the Carowinds park. It is $25 per night, cash/check only and for all practical purposes there are no amenities. It is a basic campground; the owners are friendly, just nothing fancy. We find it to be the best place to stay for our purposes, considering cost and convenience. We certainly need no amenities while we are visiting family. If you want to know anything else, let me know.
