Campground Near Burbank CA??
Hello All ! ! We are currently travelling across the US, and are heading to California next.... We are looking for a campground near Burbank, and have been unable to find anything nearby. We have tickets for the Price Is Right, and need a place to park our baby for about a week.... Any help is greatly appreciated...Thanks !!

I don't think your going to find any camping or RV sites in the Burbank area. Here is a link to a KOA in N. Los Angeles. Acton / Los Angeles North KOA Campground | KOA Camping California You might also try Malibu or Santa Monica which is not to far. Good luck with your trip

Sorry to say that there is not many campgrounds close to Burbank, some of the one's that are close, are not reviewed well on RVparksreviews.com. I have also not camped at any of them. One is in Van Nuys, and the other is in Nortridge, both are Good Sam.
I have stayed at the following and they are not too bad, they have mixed reviews.
Valencia Travel Village in Castaic and is about 31 miles from Burbank and travel time would be 30 to 60 minutes.
East Shore RV Park in San Dimas and is about 35 miles from Burbank and travel time of about 45 to 60 minutes. Try to get a preferred space.
Far West Resorts in Santa Paula and is about 55 miles from Burbank and travel time about 60 to 90 minutes. This park is the nicest of the three I listed, but they only have water and electricity.
Hope this helps, Good luck and have fun.
Tom

Try Malibu RV Park
Not cheap but you can't beat the view......if you are coming to California treat yourselves to a nice ocean view......depending on traffic it could be an hour plus to get to Burbank...but some of it will be driving along Pacific Coast Highway and you can watch for dolphins......(not the driver).....welcome to sunny California.............paula

Another suggestion
You can also try Dockweiler Beach.....it is less money than Malibu and is next to LAX but it is on the beach......if jet noise doesn't bother you.....think it is listed under LA County beaches......paula

I also think your two best bets are Dockweiler Beach and Malibu RV park/ resort. Any of the others nearby are probably not worth even checking out. I always go onto campgroundreviews.com if I am travelling and its great beacause you get to read what other campers have written about the parks in that area.Enjoy your time in LA!

So, how was the Price Is Right?
I am also thankful for the recommendations, I drive threw the area and have had such a hard time finding places to crash overnight.

The Price Is Right was great!!! It was a long day, but we had a wonderful time..... didn't get called to bid, but the guy beside me got called, and he won his showcase at the end..... We were on camera several times so it was fun for folks back home to watch....
Here's a link to the blog we did of our trip last year.....
