I was in Lone Pine over the Christmas holiday and on the day after Christmas I left to head home to Orange County.
I didn't hit high winds until I got down towards Mojave near the 14 in the Antelope Valley. I tow a 16' Bambi with a Jeep Liberty; with the sway control and equalizer set up I was able to stay on the road while big rigs and box trailers we're pulled over and parked.
Typically the winds from the 395 / 14 juctions towards Lone Pine when they do blow aren't too bad. Once you get up towards Bishop it typically gets less windy.
I had a Casita before the AS and they both do really well in cross winds. Just keep the speed down and watch out for those gusts.
