We usually try to stay at Table Rock State Park. Lot’s of shows to see. If you like bluegrass, The Petersens have a couple of great shows. A bluegrass show (not typical bluegrass, very musical) and a gospel show. The Haygood’s have a good show too.

Musicland Kampground. Right in the heart of the strip. Can walk to just about any show.

One show not to miss is the "Haygoods"

We stayed at Music Land in September. It was a great location in town. The town just wasn’t our cup of tea though. Shows were really hit and miss for us.

Table Rock Lake has lots of Corps of Engineer Campgrounds that are very nice. Silver Dollar City has a campground near the theme park.

I guess it depends on if you want to be close to the strip in Branson, or you just want to be in the area. If you want to be in the area, Table Rock Lake is way better than Branson.

This from a local.

We stayed at the Escapees Turkey Creek campground in nearby Hollister. Not fancy, has all the necessities, very reasonable $20/night member, $24/night nonmember for full hookup. We had limited time and took the train ride on the Branson Scenic Railway.
