Jim says "Hey, come on up".

Jan and I arrived home a little after 11 this morning. We had a great time and miss the cool mountains as it is triple digits here...

We rolled in at about 1pm. Lead Foot Louis blew by us heading into Phoenix like we were standing still. What a rockin weekend, another successful impromptu 4CU rally. Group pot-luck on Saturday was the best meal we have had in a loooonnnggg time. Ribs, steak, BBQ chicken, cole slaw, ho-bread, salsa and chips, and the best cobbler ever. What a great time, and of course, what goes boondocking stays boondocking.
Would not have been possible for us without great support from the 4CU.
Good to see everybody.

We really enjoyed having your family with us this weekend. I was amazed at the number of RVs headed down the road at that hour.

Marvelous weekend!! it was great to see everyone and the food and laughter is always the best. Thanks to Min and Jim for being such gracious hosts and to Jan & Richard for the incredible ribs. Julianne.. thanks for just being you, TB and Greg, for stopping by to see us everyday, and to the Olsons for allowing us to share your wonderful kids, they are truly a couple of cuties! BTW, Eric I was going 65 when I passed you... Okay maybe a little faster, we were trying to catch up with you since we first spotted you near Rye.

Not to worry Mike, you and Tracy were certainly there in thought. I may have drank your share of the bloody marys one of the mornings we were there. Your help would have been appreciated!

Looks like you all had a great time. We need to try camping in that part of the Rim. When does that campground close down for the year?

We did have a good time...wish you could have been there! Next time!
According to the Sinkhole Campground website...the season is generally mid-May to the end of October. Earlier or later depending upon weather.... That probably applies to most if not all the campgrounds in that area...
Sinkhole is about 5 miles from Mogollon Campground where Jim & Min are...we stayed at Sinkhole because we were supposed to meet non-AS friends there (who then didn't make it)...

Where back
Well our first time being camp host went well, but ened on 31 Oct. Most of the time it was fun.The Mogollon camp ground has only 26 sites and is full only on week ends.70% of the campers are tent campers so life was EZ.
You can see from the other postings that some of our AS friend did come to visit a few times.
Not having cell phone,TV,or internet sevice at first was hard but we soon learnd to live with out it quite well. That is what BOONDOCKING is all about doing with out.
We are now back in the BIG Q for the winter with Scrapirony and 2 other Airsteamers.
Min gave me a new dog for Christmas. Her name is Lucy. She is about 9 Mo. old and looks alot like Bob did.BUT has alot run in her at this age.
We will be looking forward to going back to camp host again around the 1 st of May.
Hope some of you will stop by the BIG Q and visit us this Winter.

Mike,
We will be out the end of the month. El Camino Real has a rally at the Quartzsite Marketplace from Jan 26 to 31. Are you in the same place as last year?
