Labor Day Weekend

Looks like the plan is we will start the Labor Day weekend about the 30th of August in a boondocking site called Concord Ridge. It is about 3 miles South down the road to Young off of AZ route 260 above Payson AZ.
Like all things with Jimmini and the 4CU this is subject to change. But all Airstreamers are welcome to join us.
We will keep you posted.

I hope she enjoyed herself, she got to see a very beautiful part of Arizona. The canoe, unfortunately did not make it into the water. The lakes there were just too low to be able to launch it without wading through the mud and rocks to get it to the water. We will drag it with us to Heron Lake where I am sure it will get some good use.

It was good to see you again.

Hey Jim,

Is the name Concord Ridge or Colcord Ridge? I found Colcord Ridge on my Mogollon Rim Map but not Concord.

Thanks,
Louis

Huh

Your right per Google, it is CoLcord Ridge,An L not N.But the location is right in the posting.
We still plan on meeting Richard and Jan there on the 30th of August.
Sure hope some more of you will join us.
Colcord Ridge is REAL BOONDOCKING.This is dispersed camping.
NO water so bring your own,NO trash service so you have to pack it out.No electeic service so do not forget your generator.Nearest dump sevice is at Canyon Point Campground about 6 miles away for your Blue Boy.Also I do not think there are any tables. So bring your EZ chair and come relax in the cool pines.

Up-date

Since we have moved this thread from the "4CU private club forum" to the "On the road"thread I would like to bring all you good boondocking and want to be boondocking Airstreamers up to date about us.
We are Jim and Min and our trailer is Jimmini. We use our trailer about 165+ day per year boondocking.
The trailer is a 1989,29 ft Squarestream that we tow with a 2000 Ford V-10 Excursion.
The Excursion has a 100 gal fresh water tank and a 100 gal waste water tank in the back so that we can boondock anyplace without a problem.(See photos)
We power the trailer with a Honda EU2000iA generator.
Some times we use 45 Watts of solar panels to keep the trailer batteries charged.
I hope that this tread will help anyone that wants to learn more about how to boondock. Please feel free to ask questions.
We sure welcome anyone to join us boondocking any time and your always welcome at any 4CU rally.
(1) Photo of fresh water tank and pump.Pump plugs into TV power plug and hose goes to my city service fitting on the trailer or I can just fill my trailer tank.
(2) Photo waste water tank and dump hose.
(3) Photo of fresh water pump.
(4) Photo of Macerator pump used with 3/4" hose to load waste water.Pump is powered from trailer batteries.

We'd love to join 'ya. We're still about 3-4 weeks from being done with our refurb and I've still got to fix the connection issue between my fresh water tank and water pump.

Jim,
Those water tanks are awesome! Where did you get them and for how much? I have an Excursion, too. Where did you mount your tanks? How much space do they take up? I assume in the back but it doesn't look like there's enough room for both, side by side. For your black water, do you hook up directly to the trailer? I'd love to take a look at your system at a Rally as soon as my Airstream is ready to hit the road.

Mike

I'm heading up the rim this morning and will look you guys up. Unfortunately, this is only a day trip so I'll be without trailer. Save me a seat.

Thank you we sure like them.Next time might go with 50 Gal.
Got them at a tank place in Tempe but do not remember the name.Found them in the yellow pages.
I take 3rd row seats out and used all the back.I have plywood on top of tanks so I can put stuff on top.
Photo 1 is Black tank in back.sorry you can not see dump valve in the photo
Photo 2 is fresh water in front with same pump that is in trailer hooked to it and powered from power outlet.
You are always welcome to a 4 CU rally the next one that we will be at is the Q3-T2 rally Thanksgiving at Quartzsite.More info about it at WBCCI rally page on the forum here.
