I just got back to the valley and had a wonderful weekend with a few friends. Jim is the host at the Mogollon Campground which is located just past Woods Canyon Lake on FR 300.

Mike and Sheri - You guys were missed this weekend, but we understand that other things are more important. BTW Min did a very nice anniversary cake for you guys and everyone enjoyed it.

Happy Anniversary!

Last night we did the break into the locked Airstream thing. It can be a lot of fun, if it's not your Airstream. Leon and Janet will be getting in touch with Inland Andy in the near future to get the anti lockout modification.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Wish we could've been there. We won't be able to get out until Memorial Day weekend.

We have been at Fool Hollow Lake since last Thursday with Janis & Barbara from ABQ and friends from Tucson. They all left for home this morning and we are heading over to Mogollon Campground today to stay with Jimmini a few days at least...and Julianne is staying a little longer, too. Yea! We're sorry we missed you all on the weekend...sometime this summer we will congregate, though! Hope all went well, Mike & Sheri! See you soon. Don't know if we'll be able to get internet there or not...hope so, but if not we'll check in later.

Rim Camping Fun and Flat Tires

Just home from boondocking with Jimmini. Great time had by all. Ofcourse I had a blow out on one of my truck tires on the way home. I was just two miles from home on the 303! Time for new tires on the truck, its always something.
Pics to follow.....

Shot in the dark...HELLO to JIM&MINI...tried calling...voice mail...sounds like everyone is having a great time...we're stuck in central Texas(San Marcos) waiting on the base plates for our new(old) toad...Roadmaster has to make them, as they're out of stock...90 outside, 85% humidity...can we go home, now...???

Mike,
Cell service is weak where Jim is located. It might get better is he goes Verizon. Mine worked "sometimes" where he is at.

Mike...We'll give a "hello" to Jim & Min for you if we see them today...Richard is correct....they don't have good cell service right now.We got to Mogollon Monday afternoon...we missed Richard & Jan and Leon & Janet, but Julianne stayed over, so we go to see her...yea! We moved to Sinkhole Campground yesterday (4.9 miles from Mogollon Campground), but Jim & Min are supposed to stop by here this afternoon. We have Verizon and did OK at Mogollon, but we have a better connection here. It was eindy and cold when we were at Mogollon, but the day we left it settled down...and now it's beautiful weather again...warm days and cool nights. We're heading home this weekend...have had a nice tour of the Rim...

Hi all,
We r at camp ground 9350 . Just 1 1/2 mile down the road from Jimmie who is at Mogollin camp area. The only differance is it is FREE here and we are just 20ft from the Rim and u cant believe the view. I had to go to Mesa yesterday to get the rest of our boondocking gear. It was 94 there and 71 here. Neet... We are getting settled in. There is a 14 day limit but who knows if they will inforce it. Going fishing in the next few days, wish me luck. Hope some of you will come up and see us. We have a lot of room in our camp site, its huge

Ah...further up the road from the Mogollon Campground...in the boondocking area...we didn't see that area, but Jimmy told us about it. It sounds great! Now don't you be doing any sleep walking that close to the Rim! Have a great stay...

What amazing views you must have. That's our kind of camping! Can't wait to see pics. Would also love to hear about what Sheri is cooking up in that Dutch oven. Keep us posted as to whether there's still space to camp there as the summer gets underway.

Hey - did you say fishing?? We just came through that area on our way back from our annual Memorial Day White Mountain fishing trip with our flyfishing club. We were out for a week and was it ever nice. We were up around 9100 feet and the temps were mid 70s during the day and lower 50s at night. Just perfect. Oh, the fishing was great as well. We fished Hawley Lake, Earle Park, Lee Valley Reservoir and Cresent Lake.

We'll have to get up there before all you guys depart.

Brad
