Pictures.

Hi, Pictures taken on 10/18/2010. [by Lee]

(1.) Click to enlarge this picture to find and see a mountain climber; He is wearing a yellow hat, orange shirt, green pants, and has a red back pack.

(2.) After seeing these young girls pass us up on this trail, I nick named it the Bunny trail, but we didn't go much farther than where this picture was taken.

(3.) Look very closely and you can see the different parts of the trail as it goes higher and higher. This is the path that has a section that is about three feet wide, no rails, 900 foot drop on one side and 1200 foot drop on the other side. [not for me!!!!]

(4.) Can you find the hidden arch in this picture.?

Pictures.

Hi, There was a lightning storm and I was trying catch lightning on a digital camera. It wasn't working, so I was just messing around with Lee's camera.

For those who followed us during our random trip, I hope you enjoyed it, we sure did.

Lady in the red dress.

Hi, did anyone notice the lady in the red dress under the arch that I drove through? Well this couple was having their wedding pictures taken there. And remember when I said Lee took a hike down a trail that I wouldn't go on; Well they were down there too, camera crew and all.

Hi, Bob never forgets anything. Funny that you asked me about getting a snow brush, Gene. The other day I had a doctor's appointment in Brea. I was very early so I decided to wander aimlessly in some of the stores in that area. As I was walking up and down all of the isles in a Target store that I haven't been in before, I saw a wall display of snow shovels. Snow shovels in this neighborhood? I asked myself, why would they have snow shovels in Brea, California? Curiousity got to me and I had to investigate this. The order for this store must have been a mistake. I looked at all of the snow tools and picked out a nice snow brush while listening to a little voice in my head saying: "Bob, did you get that snowbrush?" Well, yes Gene I did; It was on sale for $1.48 plus tax, and I happily walked out of that store with $1.61 less in my pocket, with my new snow brush. When I got home I showed my wife the bargain that I found at Target and we both laughed because we don't know when or where we will ever use it, but I have one anyway and it made me happy.

Bob, I saw a movie about a volcano in LA, so why not snow?

How about snow tires?

Hi, my tires are M/S rated, so I don't really have to buy the real agressive snow tires like the ones I had on my Jeep. Besides, these tires might look funny on a two wheel drive Lincoln. [Armstrong True Tracks, not made anymore] Those were great tires.

Nice looking Jeep. I betting it's a 74' model with the 258 engine, single bbl carter carb. etc......
If this is a 74 you should put some original steps on.

Hi, crispyboy. It was a 1978 with the 304 cu in V-8. When I was looking for a new Jeep, my requirements were simple, but finding one like I wanted wasn't easy. I wanted the CJ-5, the biggest engine, Manual trans, manual transfer case, and manual hubs. I didn't want a tilt wheel, fancy radio, or a $700.00 bird decal on the hood, if you know what I mean. I removed almost all of the smog system and it really ran. Ten years later California enforced their smog laws. I was buying a 1988 Ford Ranger and a guy from Germany was over here buying Jeeps and Land Cruisers. I sold it to him because I would never see it again and not have to worry about the smog system.

Hi, Gene. I'm so broke, I can't afford to leave Lakewood, yet alone go to Big Bear. Actually we went to big bear last year when there was no snow. Just joking, I'm not broke, but we have family issues that are keeping use from going anywhere for now.
