Hi, today we drove to, and through, Sedona, Arizona. We were going to go into a State Park, with sights and hiking trails, but "No Dogs Allowed" even if left in the car. So that was one place we didn't get to go. We still spent most of the day in Sedona. If WIFI will allow it, I will post a few pictures.

(1.) Church in a Mountain.

(2.) Eagle Head Rock.

(3.) Some really poor person's single family home.

Its a shame that have to live in such squalor...

That lower pool is such a long walk in that hot sun.

Bob,

I wish you had talked to me before you posted those. We try to keep pictures of our winter retreat home off the internet.

Sorry all, they are poor. Didn't you notice they only have a 4 car garage? Now, where are they going to put there Airstream? I noticed that none of the garage doors look big enough to get an Airstream into! Maybe we could all pitch in to help these poor, impoverished folks out and fund their required remodel....

Not to worry Scott, they have a seperate residence further down the hill where the several Airstreams are housed... ya know, you need different sizes for different events... but that one doesn't have a waterfall... poor babies... hahaha
Merry Christmas to everyone!!!! Keep having fun!!!

Phoenix Art Museum.

Hi, today we went to the Phoenix Art Museum; They let us in because we are special people. Actually they were open and it was nice to have the whole Museum to a few dozen or so people. They were closing a bit early, but we saw virtually everything. We had lunch in their Café and it was quite nice. We spent the rest of our time just driving around. Boo-Boo had turned several shades darker from walking on the camp ground streets and his feet were black. Boo-Boo got a bath in the Airstream so he would, at least be clean for Christmas. We don't have and didn't get any Christmas decorations for our trailer, so we just have to enjoy the decorations the full timers have on their RVs.

Lesson learned.

Hi, I have been having such a hard time getting logged onto the WIFI here. Last night, I called the company, and while on the phone, it turned on. This morning I got logged on right away. Tonight it took a few times, but I got on. Later tonight I tried about twenty five times and could not get logged on, so I called Tengo Internet again to find out why it works sometimes and other times it won't. Here's the deal; When I was at this campground several years ago, I made up a user's name and password. Well that user's name and password is the only way I can get logged on at this camp ground. I asked about other camp grounds that use Tengo Internet and was told each area is independent. So now I know that every where that I have camped and used Tengo Internet, I have to remember the user name and password for that place to log on. [I won't remember any of them]

Bob,

The simple solution is to use the same logon and password at all it the sites you go to... Makes life much simpler, if not quite as secure.

Merry Christmas,

They must have a car elevator so they can store more cars.

As for Tengo, I've never run into that problem and use a different password each time I have to deal with them. Maybe I've never been back to the same campground? I tell campground owners that no one likes Tengo, but they usually ignore that.

I don't think they care, because very few campers are going to switch campgrounds for a few days, because the wireless sucks. This way they can advertise wireless without much work or investment on their part. Once you figure out that it is stupid Tengo and it doesn't work well, you probably are just going to put up with it rather than move. The only very good wireless service I have found was at a campground along I-80 in Nebraska. It was fast and worked just like a home network. All you needed was the encryption key, which they give you when you check in. I usually get frustrated and use my verizon phone's wireless hot spot.

Tengo is mostly on the west coast, so I don't have to deal with it that often. Wifi confounds a lot of people and running a campground is enough work without trying to find a local computer expert that can set it up properly. I think wifi is improving, but it has some way to go. he technology wasn't created to work well for more than 150' and boosting power is illegal I'm told. But they do it anyway. I get internet at home from a transmitter that is 4 miles away—very illegal—and it works passably, but not too well at times.

I don't move when the wifi sucks, but I try not to come back to that campground again. Passwords only cause grief and now companies contact me and tell me I have to change them with all sorts of symbols, number, caps and lower case, ad infinitum. Even if I use the same ones on different sites, I can't find the piece of paper I wrote them on. And Apple is bad, but so are many others. I avoid logging in to Apple or updating anything through them because it is such a pain.

For Android owners download Easy Tether app

If you have unlimited data on your Android cell phone, there is an app called easy tether for $9.95.....that makes a hotspot out of your cell phone. That way, you don't have to mess with campground wifi. If you don't have unlimited data, just monitor your data usage. It worked great for me all across the country (I have Verizon).

Hi, tomorrow we leave Phoenix, Arizona. We had a great time and a nice Christmas with family. We will find one more camp ground closer to home.

Bob it will be interesting to see what you find. Last time we were through the area it seemed everything east of the metro L.A. area was full of snowbirds for the season.

Hi, we thought that we would stop off in or near Palm Springs. We found a place in Cathedral City. Our last night is mainly so we can do our last tank flush before we get home. We set a limit of $50.00 or keep going. Well this campground only had back-ins where I would have to disconnect, up against a block wall, right next to a busy highway, and over our limit. So we asked Georgette to find us another campground in the direction of our home. (1.) Georgette directed to Hemet. There were also signs on the road too. Well the campground was no longer there. There were a bunch of new houses being built there. (2.) So we asked Georgette to find us another campground that was close by. Well this one didn't exist either. (3.) Georgette, please try again. Well she found another one that had no spaces left and looked like a Tijuana mobile home park. Now this is getting to be ridiculous.
