Like how you bubble-wrapped your baby.

Am enjoying your trip; I've lived in B.C. all my life and haven't been to those areas.

If you choose to head home via Highway #3 (Crowsnest Hwy.) this is a great place to dry camp. Bromley Rock Provincial Park - BC Parks

Bob,

I have been wrong every time I guessed where you are going, but it seems you are headed toward Fairbanks.

Fairbanks has a collection of bad RV parks. We stayed at the North Pole just east of Fairbanks—about 10 miles. There is a good campground just south of the Alaska Hwy where the giant Santa Claus is.

There is a very good Chinese restaurant west of the campground sort of behind the supermarket. We walked there, about 8 or 10 blocks. It may have Pagoda in the name.

Good days and bad days.

Hi, today started out good; We had a nice drive and we saw some Meeses. [Moose] Gas is expensive but I have to have it. Today we bought $99.00 worth of regular. We found a nice large RV park and it filled up as we were there. Yes, Gene, we are in Fairbanks now. We are at the River's Edge RV Park. Lili, The Military bone yard is part of yesterday's camp ground and there were a few bears in the park while we were there. Fly at Night, we never know exactly where we are going, but we will consider your suggestion. Top, enjoy the ride, even though there may be a few bumps in the road like today.

Today's rant: We make it to Fairbanks and check out the visiter center, For the first time on this trip I un-harnessed the Lincoln. Lee wanted to find an Asian restaurant in town. When we got there it was a Mexican restaurant now. Well, let's just go to Dennys. There was anew waitress and after being ignored for about thirty minutes, we decided to leave. On the way out, I let them all know exactly what I thought of their service. [I was mad] OK, let's just go across the street to Subway. Lee was standing in line and the girl behind the counter asked the man behind, what he wanted. Lee being a bit aggitated, spoke right up and said she was next. [I was still steaming from Dennys] We had our lunch and went shopping. came back to our trailer so I could go on WIFI, and you'll never guess what happened next, WIFI doesn't work. Same crap, different day/camp ground. What kind of computor do you have? were is you space? Maybe it will work later? I'll reset it, try gain in 15 minutes. Try the office, the laundry room, or the hotel lobby, sometimes they work better there. [My thoughts; If your WIFI isn't going to work, why don't you just remove it and don't have any WIFI. I would be less aggrivated knowing that you don't have WIFI, than if you have it and it doesn't work] Maybe it's a mechanic type thing; Mechanics, at least me, don't like things that don't work. Fix it or trash it. Done. I guess I'm entitled to have a bad day.
Rant over.

Dusty is getting into our routine and getting anxious to get in the car, knowing we are going to be on the move again. More things decided to relocate them selves while we were in motion today, but not much and no damage done. Lincoln and Safari are doing fine.

(1.) This is one of three meeses that we saw today; This one started to run away as Lee was taking his picture, but then he returned to pose for us.

(2.) This is the check [copy of] that paid for the state of Alaska from Russia.

(3.) This is a copper nugget that weighs about the same as my Lincoln. This was at the University of Alaska Museum.

(4.) This is some kind of a chair that was made out of all kinds of things and mostly covered with Alaskan license plates.

Day 11.

Hi, at the RV park there are four Airstreams here, including mine. In the store, Lee bought a light weight rain jacket and I bought an Alaskan hat; Later, I had to go back to the store and buy Lee a hat just like mine and Me a jacket almost like Lee's. Lee's jacket is pink and mine is green, only two colors they had. We might need them for the two trips Lee signed us up for. we will be here for a few days [three] so we can take these trips. Dusty can't go so I will open both vents, turn on the fan, and turn on the air conditioner for him. I will, of course take pictures and write a report on these trips. And I will most likely be posting from the Hotel lobby again.

Bob,

How did Mooses become Meeses?

We tried an RV park in Fairbanks, maybe River's Edge, and got the same story. I eventually went over to their hotel and it didn't work there. Your wifi rant is justified. Wherever we were, our wheel lock was stolen too. We left after one night and went to Santaland.

Glad you got to go to the Museum. It's a good one.

Day 12.

Hi, today we took a River Boat cruise. It was fun and enteresting. They took us to a village to show how the traveling natives lived in Alaska. Dusty didn't get to go so he barked his displeasure of having to stay home alone. We feel bad for him, but it is the only way we can do it. We also got to see how some of the locals live now. And some sled dogs; I thought the sled dogs would have been much larger.

(1.) Waiting to board river boat.

(2.) Must be nice to have your airplane parked in your driveway next to your car.

(3.) Sled dogs.

(4.) Post Office.

Hi, I keep trying to forget about when we had to work, but retirement isn't as free as you would think. We are still adjusting. Ok, here's my smile:

Still day 12.

Hi, I have reduced my pictures again in hopes of posting them. I was reducing them to 50%, but now I'm reducing them to 25%. We saw this spectacular Moose, but unfortuneately he was stuffed. Our Native tour girl was cute too.

There is no WIFI here, but they have Ethernet, one line, and I'm using it. There are some mosquitoes here too, but I bought some lotion to keep the bugs off of my face and arms. On the way here we stopped at Whitehorse for supplies; It's real exciting, out this way, to be able to shop at a real market. Anywhere else along the way has nothing, next to nothing, and very expensive anything. (1.) White River RV Park office.

(2.) Army 6X6 truck.

(3.) One shot of many, in Military bone yard.

(4.) Some retired, old, out board motors hanging out together.

Is this place cool or what?
Love, love, love - the outboard motors! So cool!!!

Day 13.

Hi, Day 13 was yesterday, but I have to get up early to post on WIFI otherwise I can't get in. We went to the North Pole to see Santa Clause and his Raindeer. Mostly it is for kids and is a huge Christmas gift shop. I bought something for all of you. [Just kidding] It was still a fun place to visit. We found a Chineese resturaunt and had take-out because we had an appointment and didn't want to be late.

(1.) Welcome to North Pole sign.

(2.) Polare bear holding me for ranson, or something.

(3.) A real live raindeer.

(4.) Fairbanks Alaska Chineese resturaunt.

Still day 13.

Hi, we went to a Gold Mine today. We rode on a little train and got to pan for Gold. You get to keep what ever you get, but it is very little. A few people made out, but then they paid for having it put into jewlery or something, so the Mine still made their money. Later back at the camp ground there was a caravan of old cars, about twenty of them, and I would have missed them if it wasn't for me bring out the trash at that time.

(1.) This is the Gold Mine train that we rode on.

(2.) This is the pan of Gold that I got. [ I wish]

(3.) This is the Gold Nugget that Lee Lee found. [On the counter and everyone was allowed to hold it, but then had to leave it or be shot]

(4.) First car in the line-up; I actually don't know what it is and they were leaving, so I took a video of it too.

Bob , you might check out the state park in Fairbanks. It's just a little west of Pioneer Park and north of that street We moved from the RV Park in north pole to the state park in Fairbanks after we couldn't get the WiFi to work when we were there.

Day 14.

Hi, today was a relatively short drive. We left Fairbanks and went to Denali. We are going to take the 12 hour bus ride through Denali park. Boo-Boo can't stay home alone that long, so for him, we will stay an extra day. Tomorrow Lee Lee will take the tour and Saturday I will take the tour. That way someone will be with Dusty. Today we just checked it out and made our reservations. We are staying at McKinley RV & Campground in Denali. I asked about WIFI and the young girl told me that I would more than likely have to use the laundry room; Well it only has two bars and is working great so far.

(1.) Entrance to Denali National Park. [sign]

(2.) Interesting structure in the Visiter Center.

If you go to Homer, check out the boat trip to Hallibut Cove. If you go to Seward, a boat trip to Kenai Fjords NP is another good trip.

I hope you get to see the mountain—most never do and whether or not the mountain is out is a big deal there.
