BLM Boondocking

Does anyone here have experience boondocking on BLM lands in the south west. I may have the chance to spend some part of mid march into the spring in my airstream. Budget would be a big issue for me so warm and cheap with nice scenery is the order of the day. Favorite spots, tips, pitfalls, and so on and so forth would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try to get a copy of BLM, long-term camping on public lands (SuDoc I 53.2:C 15/999) from the Department of Interior.

Lightbulb Bureau site

I believe the Bureau of Land Management has just set up a website regarding their camping sites. All of the sites are rough with no amenities at all, but they are cheap. There was a good article about BLM in a recent Trailer Life or similar magazine. If I can find it, I'll let you know.
