Big Lagoon St Park Pensacola

How about a couple of photos and a comment on Big Lagoon St Park near Pensacola? It's right across from Perdido Key and located on a pine knoll. It has a good description on the Park web site (Google it). The sites are diverse, some shaded and seperated and some wide open to the sun. How do you figure out which one you want prior to visiting? Download Google Earth and zoom in on the park. If you can see the site, so can the sun!

Anyway, great park, 2+ miles of paved roads, beaches on the bay for very warm water and no waves, great walking trails and a 40' observation tower.


It's not the Hilton but we enjoy a rustic campground, right up our alley!

Supposedly so in one of the lakes but we didn't look. They are so common around here that the thought never crossed my mind.

We did see two other 'Streams in the camp but never met the owners. But were twin axle Excella types. One guy used a H1 as his tow vehicle (up, he had a WD hitch)
