best campground in Brevard, NC and Cades Cove area in TN?

We are going to be in the Brevard area for a cycling event next month and I am wondering what campground you all recommend. Also would love advice on a full hook up campground near Cades Cove in Tennessee.

The best campground in Brevard is in the Pisgah National Forest. It is the Davidson River Campground. First loop has power, all others have power at host sites. If you are there before season host sites are also available. The Davidson River runs beside the Campground and each loop has bathing and toilets. As a bonus there are lots of bike trial in and around Brevard. Check out the great BBQ cafe at the entrance of the Forest. Hogwild BBQ. Great smoked BBQ - western or Eastern style. Several pubs downtown, full bakery, live music depending on dates and lots more. If you fly fish, the river is catch and release above Avery Creek to hatchery. Below Avery, it is hatchery supported. Fly shop is beside the BBQ cafe. Two great bike shops within walking distance of BBQ cafe too.

We tent camped at Davidson River for a number of years and enjoyed it thoroughly.

I like Elkmont a lot, but it's no hookups, which I like - helps promote quiet, it seems to me ... and there are lots of sites right on the river if you reserve early enough.

Remember to arrive at Elkmont "Wally Style" with full water tanks and empty gray/black. Dump and water six miles away at Sugarland Visitor center.

We are at Davidson River in Pisgah NF just beyond Brevard right now, on the recommendation of a fellow camper at Alumalina. Thanks, Terry.

We took an electric site, because it was available, $17 with a Golden Age Passport. Sites are very level, paved and tiny gravel make a lovely parking surface.

Lots of trees, showers are clean with plenty of water.

We would definitely come here again, electric or no.

The KOA in Townsend is nice. It is a little pricy, but has all the amenities. They have several sites right on the river with decks. We rode bikes in Cades Cove on that trip.
