Atlas lithium batteries

Welcome to the forum Swaggy P!

So did you do the lithium swap or just anticipating if there will be problems? The charger would need to be changed to a lithium compatible to get the best performance from the battery swap.

Chassis battery or house battery or both?

I'm not sure that lithium would be the first choice for a chassis battery. The alternator and voltage regulator are very much set up for lead acid. Changing them out to match lithium would be a challenge.

For the house battery, as long as you run a DC/DC converter between the chassis and the lithium's you should be fine. It will need to be set up for lithium voltages, but that's not hard to do.

The gotcha with a "split" system is that you loose the ability to use the batteries in an "either or" fashion (= chassis can't run house / house can't start the engine).

Another "why" for no lithium as the chassis? Discharge below freezing is not a good idea. Being unable to start the engine on a cold day .... not so much ...
