I don't know anything about those motor homes but it they have Qudrajet carburetors you should have a mechanic look at them. They are good carburetors when they are maintained but prone to fuel leaks if neglected.

This fire was awful...from all the posts about fuel lines appears it must have been a motor fire that spread. Glad I have a diesel but now gonna make it a priority to replace the motor compartment insulation with a newer type of sound and fire resistant material.

When I had fuel delivery problems after I installed my TBI kit in my 84, I ended up installing an in tank pump and new fuel lines. The old lines were under sized and there were numerous splices with rubber hose on both the supply & return lines.
I used stainless lines and ran them from the rear of the engine under the drive shaft. It may not be kosher, but it got it done.

If you install a aftermarket electric fuel pump you need to make sure that there is a auto shutoff if the engine dies. If the fuel supply ruptures, and the engine dies, you wont be pumping fuel to the fire.
The TBI computer does this if it is wired correctly. Of course if the return line ruptures, it will keep pumping until the tank is empty or power is removed.

Bob, how do address freezing temperatures with your AFFF suppression system? I assume that agent is water based. I know you have inside storage so that may not be an issue for you; but mine, unfortunately, is stored outdoors. I am wondering if I can install a system or if it will self destruct in the cold.
