Hey Globie64. I'm heading down 101 from Oregon in January. I will be seeing friends here and there while I work my way down to Arizona, via California first. I plan on leaving around the 6th or 7th. Maybe I could swing by Joshua State park while you're there. Let's keep the dialogue going and see what happens. I haven't stayed in or near San Luis Obispo so I don't have any ideas for a place to stay. You could probably search the threads and posts for San Luis Obispo and see what comes up.

Redwoodguy, hi! I will be seeing a friend in Napa when I start traveling in January and I'm curious about the Napa rally you mention that will be held in February. It isn't listed in the rallies on the forum site. Is there a place I can go and read more about it? Thanks so much!!

Hey 2Tex4Fun. The 4CU rally for New Years sounds like fun!! I really wanted to make it to that but will have to wait until next year. The Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument sure sounds like a cool place to camp at!! I grew up in Oregon (in the Willamette Valley) so I don't see cactus that much but I love them!! They are so neat with all there different shapes and colors. I can't wait to start seeing them in my travels to warmer weather this next year.

I wish everyone a wonderful and safe Christmas and holiday. Take good care and may the roads ahead be smooth. Ciao! ~Cari~

So where are you going near Santa Barbara? I'm looking for a place to overnight there in January. I'll check out the Feb rally, Napa isn't too far from home.

Hey Carlita! That would be fun to meet up in Joshua Tree. We're staying in Indian Cove, and there were a few spaces left. How are you traveling through California? Down 101, 5 or 1?

Hi Globie64. I will be taking 101 down then coming inland to 5 then finish with 10. I'll check out the website for Joshua, book a site then get back to you. Cool! This will be fun!

Yes, we parked on about 4" of ice last weekend (asphalt underneath the ice, however)

We could have used some of that ice this weekend....it was about 83 here in south GA. I have had the airstream out every weekend this month and most of last month too!
