Hi from AZ. . . we spoke to several Europeans this Summer in Alaska who had brought their 'expedition vehicles' across the pond. To a person, they said it HAS to fit in a container, which you then lock up, or there will be nothing left when it arrives. When I hinted that I'd be interested in how much that would/did cost, they just rolled their eyes. . . FYI. . .regards, Craig
I should have mentioned that, if you're sending it over permanently, you or the new owners or whom ever will have to replace the "hitch" / A-Frame w/ the european type - not an expert in those requirements . . . and actually if you're thinking you're going to use it for an extended vacation and then bring it back, you'd probably be forced to also make those changes . . . they also have additional or different lighting requirements.

Few months ago I checked the possibility so ship my 28' boat to US from Finland. Cost went up to 10K USD for one-way-shipping, since it would not fit inside of the container. So my advice, that if you can't fit your Airstram (or boat) inside of the container, don't ship it overseas unless you're thinking of moving permanently.
22' or shorter for Germany. When on "back roads" longer can result in problems. Speed limit is 78 MPH on Autobahnen so be ready to be the slowest on the road.
