Wife and I just experienced the 5th wheel loud music a couple of nights ago. There were 2 of them across from each other that obviously knew each other with plenty of teenage kids in tow. I have no problem with it before 10 PM, but when it wakes me up at past midnight I start to get a bit ticked off.
Pamela, that is great to hear. Thank you for the update. BTW, we live right across the lake from you. Just take the Dalrock exit.

I am pretty sure this policy was not well thought out or gave much thought to the unintended consequences or implications of what they were attempting to accomplish. My prediction is they will not continue the policy because of the negative press ... or they may decide it makes no difference to them since they are able to keep the park full with the policy. I sent them an email just to see if they would explain their rationale. I'll let you know what I find out.

Policy reverted to allow travel trailers
UPDATE:
While in the midst of planning some summer 2022 travels, it just happens that our route will take us very near to Angel Fire NM. I went online to book 3 nights in July at Angel Fire RV Resort, and I failed to observe the “Motorhome or 5th-wheel only” text on their homepage. There is still some instruction in the FAQs to call them directly if you have a travel trailer.
I successfully made online reservations and subsequently called them to confirm I was legit. I was informed that they have reverted back to the anything goes* policy, even though the FAQs are out-of-date.
*It probably isn’t “anything goes” as they still wanted to know about my trailer. I was then told that “You have an Airstream; you’ll be OK”. So perhaps they are still attempting to keep out some types of units.

There is always the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. If you call them and tell them you tow an Airstream, they'll ask you how long you'd like to stay.
They're just trying to chase out the trash.
Is it discriminatory to say all pop-up camper and SOB are troublemakers? Yeah, I suppose it is, but it's their right to filter their guests anyway they want except by race, age, religion, gender, etc...
We've all seen other place that don't allow certain breeds of dogs, or trailers manufactured before a certain year.

I spent the month of August just down the road from them this summer. I drove by that park often and there were many trailers that were not 5th wheels. As the post states above it appears they are filtering out the trash.

On my last trip I noticed some trailers at KOA's that were suited to multiple workers. I wondered if construction sites are renting movie style trailers to house workers in RV parks instead of a hotel room.
They fit the mold; nothing fancy, long, multiple doors, and an interstate construction nearby.
