Albuquerque RV Parks?

Hi,

I need to spend a week in ABQ on business. I have a dog and expect it to be hot so prefer a nice safe 50 amp capable spot.

I'm striking out on Allstays, Campendium with most being very poor at best.

It's a business trip so I'll pay $$$ as it comes right off my taxes!

Last year I had to stay all the way in Santa Fe and it was just too long of a day driving back and forth....

Anything?

Thanks!

We used to stay at Enchanted Trails on the west side just off I40. Some trees, close to freeway so some noise. Nice owner with some vintage rental Airstreams in property.

It's been some years since we stayed there.

On the West side there are 3 decent parks, Enchanted, American and Palisade. Have stayed at Enchanted and American. On the East side, there is a KOA, but have not visited it. There are no RV "resorts" in ABQ, and shade is limited, however Enchanted has some mature trees.

Further south there are a few more Parks.

Belen:
Corazon RV Park
TopSpot RV Park

Further south, in Bernardo there is Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel

I was unable to find contact information on TopSpot because they are not very good at marketing, but they are a largish park.

Thanks all!

MOST of these are right on the freeway! Very noisy. Some scary reviews of one at least which is typical of ABQ and why I don't mind forking out for a quality safe spot.

I'd second the nomination for Isleta Lakes & RV Park.

Brenda and I stayed at American RV just one night a couple of years ago, but we both thought it was very modern, clean and neat.

Good Luck, and safe travels.

In the past, we've stayed at Albuquerque KOA Journey on the east side of town. It's nothing special, but everything works and it's really clean. I recall it being very expensive for what it was.

20 minutes North in Bernalillo is Coronado Campground. We stayed 4 years ago, it was nice and shady, quiet and only $20 with full hookups. I know you are not on a budget but to me this place is better than some of the expensive ones and you will have shade for your dog plus you will be camping alongside the Rio Grande. The casino is nearby and if you call them they come and pick you up and bring you back which we did for dinner in one of the casino restaurants. If you are working in the North end it might be an option. It reminded me of a State or Federal campground right in town.

Unlike most Campgrounds adjacent to the Interstate, which have noise, American is reasonably quiet. It's related to the fact that no speed changes are required in that section of the highway. We have stayed there twice.

The problem with American is that they made no accommodation for folks needing an overnight stay last April. In their defense, it was an Albuquerque thing. High Desert, American, and Enchanted too just locked up. We won't be back.

The KOA on the East side made room for us coming and going. We will stay there again. It's not quite as quiet, but we like the park, the staff and the management's approach to supporting RVers. Pat
