Albuquerque October Ballon Festival

Hello Airstreamers! Couple questions for those who have airstreamed in Albuquerque during the air balloon festival:
Do you highly recommend it? How many days would you stay? Which campground do you recommend? Would you stay in the middle of the action or in an outside the hustle and chaos of the festival? I have two dogs with me, peace and quiet at the end of the day is optimal. Thanks!

It really comes down to a few things, how much "Festival" one person can stand, how close you want to be to the action, what hookups do you need and how much are you willing to spend?

If you have the cash, the "PRESIDENT'S COMPOUND" is by far the best, especially if you can get a front row spot. If not, any of the VIP (North/East/West) are great for the $$ and is a short walk onto the field. South Lot is fine, and works well for most folks.

We flew in the festival in 1995 and 2013, and will maybe go back in 2023 (next year being the 50th and will be packed).
