Albuquerque, NM to The Ozarks travel advise

Hello everyone.

We are still new to our 1988 Excella, working out the kinks and making improvements along the way.

We want to take a trip to the Ozarks and perhaps Hot Springs, AR in October.

Is three weeks long enough?

Any advise on where to stay along the way?

My in-laws lived in Hot Springs and I alway enjoyed going there. One of the most beautiful routes from Hot Springs is Scenic Hwy 7 going norht toward Harrison, AR.

Not sure of your travels in NM, but I have skied in Taos several times, and always enjoyed the drive across the panhandles of TX and OK on US 412. Clayton is the portal at the NM line.

We are about 4 hours from Hot Springs. We go there a few times every year. October is a great time. Warm days and cool nights. Probably not much leaf color this year though, it has been too dry. There are several state parks along the way that are great.
