Airstream only campgrounds
During a conversation with a Airstream owner, I was told that there were a few Airstream only campgrounds in the US. Please let me know if this true. Thank you.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle
Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.
It is true that there are Airstream only campgrounds. There are about a dozen of them throughout the country. There are generally operated by by WBCCI chapters.
You can find a list of them on the WBCCI Website at www.wbcci.org.

Yes there are. We are members of TCPC in Tennessee (Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground) and have a nice wooded lot there. We've also been to Pennwoods in PA and Virginia Highlands in VA. All different settings and layouts but the common factor is friendly people! They are all nice in different ways. You can become a member for your lot or just drop by - all of them have nice sites for visitors. Ownership works differently at each park so if you're interested, you should check that out. I know TCPC has their own Facebook page and I believe Virginia Highlans does too. Not sure about Penn Woods.

Airstream Only Parks Near You
Since you are in Maryland, there are three Airstream only park opportunities within a days drive -- Virginia Highland Haven in Copper Hill, VA (between Roanoke and Floyd), Jersey Shore in South Seaville, NJ, and Penn Woods in New Bethlehem, PA. We are shareholders at Virginia Highland Haven and would be happy to provide you with guest information. VHH also has a Facebook page and a website. VHH opens for the season on May 1.
Please feel free to contact me for more information.

Wellcome to the Airstream community.
You do not have to be a member of the WBCCI to stay at most Airstream Parks. You only have to be traveling in an Airstream. With the exception of one park in Arizona, you do not have to be a member or owner to stay at an Airstream Park. They all welcome Airstream guests.
Most Airstream parks have a website where you can find helpful information including operating season dates and how to make reservations. Rates are very reasonable for full hookup sites and some parks have discounted rates for stays of a week or more.. As others have posted, the scenery may be different at each park but they all have friendly people. Many have activities during the week (movie nights, pot luck dinners, ice cream socials) to which park guests are usually invited.
The parks are one of the special features of Airstream ownership. We spent the second night in our Airstream at Virginia Highland Haven and returned so many times we finally became members.

Texas Airstream Harbor in NE Texas
One of the cheapest and underappreciated AS only campgrounds.
Texas Airstream Harbor, Inc.
On a peninsula on Lake Sam Rayburn, the largest lake entirely within Texas, you will find exceptional lake views, birding, and walking or running paths.
Check out the link above or PM me for additional information.

I just took a look at the website for Texas Airstream Harbor. We have stayed a NTAC a couple of times, but have never hit Zavalla. It looks pretty cool. We will have to give it a try when we head out west this summer.

There's one in Minnesota.
I understand that the number of such parks is dwindling. The usual reason is lack of purchasers for vacant sites. When enough of those accumulate, the park usually revises its rules to allow non-Airstream rigs.

We have stayed at the Minnesota Airstream Park. I found it very lovely situated in the oak trees and nice gardens all around. The layout is "wagon wheel" for the most part which offers generous campsites. And there is a little 9 hole golf course. We met a retired couple who had spent the last 20 summers there in their Airstream. All trailers are moved out of the park between November through March.
And we have stayed in TAHI. Our family used to own a lot there. We find east Texas and Sam Rayborn lake very nice. I thought the park was getting a bit thread bear. Owners construct metal garages with small living quarters.
We hope to stay in other Airstream parks in the coming years.

Yeah, but half the fun of owning an Airstream is watching the envious looks from all the white box people when you pull in.

I'd love to design a park that would rival a high-end Class A only resort, but with a section only for Airstreams. I don't think an exclusive Airstream-only resort would support itself, so it would have to be open to all trailers. Maybe in my next life.

Minnesota Airstream Park does not require WBCCI membership to stay there. There are always some sites for sale, and the sellers usually will rent out their sites for weekends, etc. The reservations are made through the park. We stay there every summer for a weekend or 2 but do not "own" a site. Some of the WBCCI rallys are held there also, and they have a rally area. They also allow non-Airstream visitors if you are with an Airstreamer. It's a beautiful park near St Cloud, MN. People are very friendly.
