3 years later.. It will make its maiden voyage, join me in Southern Utah!.

Hey Gang!!

Well.. it started off a little over 3 years ago, when I purchased my 61 Globetrotter and intended to just put a new floor down.. not sub floor.. that was 100% solid. Anyway, I kicked its ass the last month, and its not finished, but very usable. So, southern Utah here I come! Im headed out tonight with my dog, Bernie.. The Airedale! Coming along with us is two motorcycles.. Mainly for off road riding, however both are street legal. We will head into the San Rafeal Swell and then likely south to hwy 12.. and beyond. I have not real agenda, other than to get out of the city and get into my Airstream!! and ride my motorcycles.. and be with my dog! New company is always welcome. If you are going to be in the area, PM me and we can camp or go for a ride or have a meal. Im in a early model grey Tundra, with a blue BMW motorcycle in the back and a 450 on the rear carrier on the GT. I plan to stay far away from "full hookups", so I may be out of cell range at times too. I will post pics and details of the renovation saga when I return. Hope to hear from some local AS enthusiasts.. get that thing out! Its beautiful out!

Do it twice.. How about thrice!

It seems that many things were done twice.. Or three times. I didn't take the interior walls out or the shell off, but.. It was completely gutted. It has been a fun project, but so far is much much more fun using it!! After hitch delays, trying to get it sit level, involved getting a larger drop down for my weight distribution hitch, I finally pulled out at. 7:30 last night.. Pulled into this amazing spot (free of coarse) at around 10. Don't get discouraged or overwhelmed (easier said than done, i know). Just keep those hands moving and it will get done!

Yeah, Mike.. I'm sure it's been discussed and for most is a no no. But, it's what I do! I've been experimenting with tongue weight.. I keep adding. I've got my giant battery on the tongue, oversized LP bottles, and heavy stuff in the front. So far so good.

As for dragging the airstream from 80 up to Kodachrome.. Well, I haven't done that road.. Perfect scout opportunity for the bike! I'll let ya know!

Here's a couple pics.
