Two inch pieces of copper tubing flared and countersunk and sealed with vulcum. I think I found most of the underlying causes for the leaks, but better be safe than sorry.
Did you remove the shell on yours too?

I see, that makes sense. That should work well as a drain, good idea.

I haven't done much on our trailer yet. We started gutting it, but that's all so far.

Interior walls are going up in the Squarestream. Putting up some cabinets next, then some roof work once my Fantastic Vents come in.

Update:
I just finished a 7 week motorcycle trip to Tuktoyaktuk NWT/Yukon/Alaska/BC and everywhere in between there and Ontario. A recon trip for when I start travelling with the Squarestream. Anyways, now that I'm back, it's time to start getting back to the reno.
I have the electrical all hooked up and the trailer is currently at Purple Hill Air in Thorndale Ontario to get the roof painted and possibly the top half. The painter there says he can paint the top half a shiny silver that would be similar to a polished Airstream......what do you think?
Once that's done the finished floor goes in and then the cabinets and some new appliances. I might just have this done by late Fall!

Newly painted roof. New Fan-Tastic Vents. Now I have to track down one more leak.

I belonged to a small Airstream group in the Midwest (that has since broken up). One of the Airtreams in the group was painted shiny silver. Even up close it was very hard to tell it was paint. I know this may sound like blasphemy to some Airtreamers- but he was very happy with the looks and reduced maintenance. I think it would look great on a Squarestream.

The roof looks awesome.

The painter said he could paint mine like that too, but it was too expensive at this point. $4200 CDN for just the top half. It's going to have too wait. I'll spend the money on some new appliances and finishing up the interior.

Hoping to use this thing in Arizona next year around March.

Refr

Just changed my Demetic RM 2801 to a DM2862. This only one we could find that came close to fitting . Nice frig But had to make enclosure 2" taller and add trim between wall and ref door about 1 1/4" thick since it is taller it would not go in as far as old one ,new one hits the outside roof curve . Also had to move 120v outlet since new cord was to short.
So make sure your frig enclosure will fit what ever frig your going to use.
Old ref door hit the bath room wall but this one now can be opened all the way and does not hit the wall.

Not sure what I'm going to do with the fridge. The old one works, but it had trim around it too. I found a newer used one that I might get, but I'm not at the point yet. I got some plumbing to do first, then finished floor, then upper cabinets.

Keep in mind Dometic said that DM2852 and DM2862 are the replacement for RM 2801 even when it is larger.
Had to add trim to the trim. But frig does not stick out past door below it. If you use old refrige make sure you have room to get the new bigger one in latter. Was a real fight for 2 men to get the new one in.Biggest problem was the distance between bath wall and refrige enclosure. Like I said even had to remove stove to get past oven door handle.
Coast me about USD $500 to install new one because of mod needed to enclosure and it was a Saturday.

I'll be putting the fridge in before the bathroom walls get put up, so I'll have plenty of room. Thanks for the heads up.

After some Eternabond tape and some Decor along the Zip Dee awning and a good rainfall, I think I have the leaking roof problem licked. Now I can started on the finished floor.

Well I still had a bit of a leak problem when it rains really hard. Water was somehow getting underneath the rolled up awning. I propped the awning away from the trailer and we had a good rainfall and no leaking. The water gets in through the flex key and is trapped behind the first round channel that lays against the trailer. It then leaches up underneath the awning rail and probably leaks through a rivet. I'm going to try some sikaflex or vulcum along the bottom of the awning rail and see if that stops it.

My countertop came in today and I got it installed. Off snowmobiling for the weekend, then start cutting out the sink next week. The kitchen is almost done. Soon I'll be tackling the bathroom.

I wanted to keep these cabinet handles so I stripped off the brass and painted the engraving blue.

That is amazing! Did you actually paint inside or just remove surface paint? Did you cover with clearcoat? Really awsome!
