Can anyone help identify this trailer? We love to restore these vintage trailers and are always on the lookout. My wife spotted this one today on a commute and we're not sure what it is. It appears to be in the upper 20 foot range and from the mid 1940's.
Thank you! The wonder of google has led is to possibility of a 1952 spartanette. Opinions on resale? I'm sure it'll be another full shell off. Are parts available?
The interior of Spartanettes is (from what I've seen) completely birch. So, if there's water damage, you'll have to work with veneer. As for parts, I think a lot of the major parts look to be pretty generic from the time (like stove, sink, fridge, lights) so you could possibly find them at graveyard stores or maybe reproductions at Vintage Trailer Supply. The Spartanette is a really sweet trailer when it's done!
Thank you Beckybillrae. My wife and I are. Thinking about getting a business off the ground and are just scouting for some good show pieces to display what we can do, but we need to keep the lights on too! I agree, these really look good when complete and seem to have a good layout too. Unfortunately the don't seem to fetch half what a comparable Airstream will for a full resto. Too bad. Still might take it on though to save it from the scrap yard.
