The Avion guest house

Bought a 1985 30' Avion last April and decided to turn it into a guest house. Put a small refer and ice maker in it along with a flagstone patio. Winter storage is under cover next to a 105 year old Denver-Rio Grand box car. The view is north on the Animas river to Engineer Mountain. Did a little research and this puppy had a list price of $43,000 in '85. I also have an '06 Safari 25' FB and I wish it had the same build quality as the AS.

That sure is a beautiful setting and a great winter storage facility. I suggest getting some brass wool (like steel wool) to plug around and in and and all openings on the bottom side of the trailer to slow down the small four legged uninvited winter guests looking for a home.

Nice!

That looks fabulous. I'd love to stay in a guest suite like yours. You may be getting more company than you bargained for...

You have an amazing view, wonderful wide open space AND a winter storage solution for what may come. Love it!

Great job.

Due to the flakey editing policy on the Airforums, I have to correct my original post to say that "I wish my AS had the same build quality as the Avion".

Flakey? If you want to correction or edit your earlier post all you need to do is contact one of the staff.

That's a really nice set-up. I wish that I could do something like that.

Do you have a side view of the Boxcar? Does it have its original markings?

Vey nice setup. I like how you have done it. I too would like to see the side of the box car. It's a "Train" thing.
