Streamline owners: a question for you

Hi friends, I have recently purchased my 1959 28' Streamline now I notice the interior curved skin above the rear/front windows isn't aluminum sheet like all around. They seems bakelite or something like that. Is it the standard? If yes did anyone got replaced by means of aluminum ones reproducing exterior skin's design?
Thanks a lot.
Luca

Hi Luca, people have pulled out the "end caps" and replaced with their own segmented panels. I can't find any examples on the forum right now, but I know I have seen a few.

I plan on mimicking my exterior on the inside. I will be starting this soon as that is where I am at on my rebuild.

I believe they are fiberglass. Luckily ours are intact.

In my 1972 they're fiberglass. Someone busted mine a bit, so, I'll be taking it to a boat shop, methinks.
